Josephine is a London-based freelance fashion journalist, fluent in English, Italian, and French, and the founder and editor of THRIFT ADVISOR, a print publication endorsed by the LVMH/ Maison Zero Award.

A unique guide to secondhand style, THRIFT ADVISOR is stocked at London’s premium newsagent Shreeji News - Airmail. This one-of-a-kind magazine speaks to the fashionably frugal, offering comic relief and escapism through satirical writing, investigative stories, custom artwork, and insightful interviews with tastemaker, Contributors include legendary artist Howard Tangye and fashion curator Iain R Webb.

In 2022, she graduated from Central Saint Martins with First Class Honours in BA Fashion Communication: Fashion Journalism, where she studied under acclaimed fashion historian Judith Watt, who imparted the fundamentals of journalism and the history of dress.

Josephine served as First Assistant to Bay Garnett, contributing editor at British Vogue and ES, stylist, and charity shop champion. Here, she managed personal and creative responsibilities, supporting Garnett’s business partnerships, philanthropic events with OXFAM and eBay, and editorial assignments.

While still an undergraduate, Josephine interned for Max Mara's London showroom division and began writing for Lampoon, 1Granary, and Collectible Dry, covering fashion, the environment, music, emerging talent, and culture. She also co-authored FESTER news (now F-Word magazine), a beauty publication created in response to toxic advertising and the “Kardashian effect.” The inaugural issue was produced in collaboration with Dazed Beauty and Robin Derrick, former British Vogue Art Director.

Over the years, she has interviewed influential figures, including award-winning filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini, gallerist Carla Sozzani, former Fiorucci creative director Keni Valenti, jewelry designer Maria Sole Ferragamo, former Palais de Tokyo curator Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, and REM’s Michael Stipe.

Currently, Josephine oversees European Press Relations at Reiber PR, an international arts communication consultancy, where she leads press campaigns for clients such as Château La Coste (France), Galleria Borghese (Rome), and the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation (USA).

"THRIFT ADVISOR succeeds on many levels. From its name - and the clever feeling of branding that comes with this - to its discerning command of the features, interviews, illustrations and graphics that collectively give it such a strong identity. All of the writing within Thrift Advisor is impeccably realised and supported by excellent, wide-ranging research. Consequently, a genuine love of fashion and story-telling emerges from its pages, and the inclusion of rare archive photographs only adds to the overall attention to detail and authenticity of this project.”
